Lets go eskimo.

So I took these photos at the very beginning of the week, just as the snow had descended into slush and I had the chance to break free from the confines of boring, weather appropriate clothing ( anyone else resemble the michelin man whilst trying to keep warm? Snow chic I was not).

Beanie - Asos
Jumper - Topshop
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Zara
Necklace - Thrifted
Not the most exciting of outfits, granted, but I have managed to drag myself away from black leggings/disco pants and into some forest green jeans that haven't seen the light of day for some time. Are coloured jeans still 'in'? I still think they are a great way of adding a pop of colour to an outfit so I'm just gonna roll with it...

Also, I have become a little bit obsessed with this Topshop jumper that I bought just after Christmas, I have literally worn it with everything. Jeans, dresses, skirts, you name it. I best start weaning myself off of it otherwise these outfit posts are going to become VERY repetitive.

Anyway, hope everyone had a good weekend. Monday tomorrow, ARGH.

Frankie (didn't go to Hollywood).

So, this week my sister managed to bring another beautiful baby into the world, a niece for me called Frankie, (hence the post title). I haven't had a chance to meet her yet (waaahh!), but will be rushing home this weekend to get in some much needed cuddles!

Anyway, on to the important stuff...clothes! Bit of a jumble and I feel slightly like I belong in Paddington Bear but hey ho. I guess I should take advantage of the mild(ish) weather before this supposed great freeze grips the country and I will be wearing nothing but chunky jumpers and a fur coat for 2 weeks.

Hat - Topshop
Scarf - H&M
Jacket - H&M (old)
Jeans - Topshop (very old and worn!)
Boots - Internacionale (on sale now!)
Bag - Louis Vuitton

Fur-ever

After a continuous 2 weeks of gluttony over the Christmas period, I have felt especially drawn to anything oversized (and preferably black) that may be lurking in my wardrobe, hoping it will hide any evidence of a few extra festive pounds. Hence this latest outfit...

Studded headband - Boohoo
Oversized printed top - Asos (very old)
Cardigan - Primark
Leather look leggings - Missguided
Boots - Office

Faux fur gilet - Internacionale

Chain bracelet - Stella McCartney (old)
Spiked bracelet - Topshop (similar here)

I have had this ASOS top for years now and go through phases of letting it see the light of day, but I really like it paired with some 'leather' leggings, and teamed with a heeled black boot would be perfect for casual drinks of an evening (as opposed to the office where I was going, BOO!).

Happy New Year!!!

I suppose I should start this post off by saying happy new year everyone! I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and partook in significant over-indulging, I definitely did (struggling to sit comfortably in my jeans as I type this!).

I was a very lucky girl this Christmas; as well as receiving some lovely bits and pieces (including a shiny new bike, felt like a little kid again!), I also treated myself to a few little prezzies so thought I would share with you my goodies.

Animal Print Playsuit - Oh My Love

Black leopard print dress - In Love With Fashion

Beaded jacket - Zara (sold out online)

Gold mesh vest - RIver Island

Black studded loafers - River Island

Berry boots (now only £17!) - Internacionale

Nude Platforms - Topshop

Finally, the platforms are mine! After weeks and weeks of going on about them, the boy took on board the not so subtle hints I had been dropping about these badboys, and I joyously unwrapped their beauty on Christmas day. They are the perfect heel for spring/summer and I am just so excited to wear them! Sad? Maybe. Do I care? Absolutely not.

Another little gem which I was fortunate enough to receive was the amazing embellished jacket from Zara. I had been eyeing it up for a while everytime I went in to Zara, but couldn't quite bring myself to part with the dollar for it. Luckily I didn't have to, and it magically found it's way under my Christmas tree :) I've worn it a few times already as it's so easy to just sling on and livens up otherwise plain outfits. Expect to see it in an outfit post very soon!

I have had a mooch round the post-Christmas sales but have to say I left very disappointed! Apart from picking up the gold vest (above) from River Island, nothing seemed to float my boat and it really did seem like the shops were scraping the bottom of the barrel with the stock that was out. Oh well, I treated myself to a few full price things anyway (whoops!).

Anyway, here is to a new year and the standard new years resolutions; eat healthy, exercise regularly and blog more!
